Two advanced prototypes made their public dynamic debut in Calvi, Corsica, on October 5–6, marking a milestone in development and previewing the thrilling driving experience promised by this mini electric supercar.
Design and chassis: lightweight rigidity for maximum performance
Measuring 4.08 meters long and 2.03 meters wide, the 5 Turbo 3E boasts unique proportions and a commanding presence. Built on an aluminum platform reinforced with carbon, it combines lightweight construction with structural rigidity, ensuring agility and cornering stability. The design honors the original models while integrating modern electric performance requirements.
Rear electric drive and extraordinary power
The 5 Turbo 3E features two 204 kW electric motors, delivering a total of 555 hp and an instantaneous torque of 489 kgm, with independent rear-wheel drive allowing individual wheel torque control for optimized power distribution. With a total weight under 1,450 kg and a carbon structure of less than 100 kg, this mini supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds, offering an extremely dynamic and exhilarating driving experience.
High-performance battery and ultra-fast charging
Equipped with a 70 kWh battery and an 800 V system, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E can recharge from 15% to 80% in just 15 minutes, achieving a range of over 400 km. This combination of power and efficiency positions the 5 Turbo 3E as a benchmark among mini electric sports cars, capable of rivaling high-performance models currently on the market.
