10,000 RPM Madness: The Honda S2000 Resurrected with 580 HP and a Supercharged Heart
A Honda S2000, 15 years after its discontinuation, becomes an extreme restomod. Its two-liter, four-cylinder engine is now a supercharged rocket capable of spinning at a stratospheric redline.
It has been fifteen years since Honda made the decision to stop manufacturing the S2000. This sports car remains a cult model among motor enthusiasts, and its potential for tuning is legendary. While awaiting a possible successor, the company Bulletproof Automotive, based in Los Angeles, decided to pay tribute to this icon. The company, specializing in tuning and race car construction, has maximized the S2000 creating an extreme machine.
Competition Mechanics and the Roar of 9,300 RPM
The heart of the S2000 was always its fast-revving two-liter, four-cylinder engine. In this Bulletproof version, the engine has been equipped with a Vortech V2-Si supercharger. Thanks to forced induction, the mechanics now develop more than 580 HP of maximum power. This power reaches the driver at an astonishing 9,300 revolutions, although the engine can reach a maximum redline of 10,000 rpm.
The system features an Amuse titanium exhaust and header, aiming for maximum lightness and performance. Fuel is managed by a high-performance fuel system with Injector Dynamics injectors. All of this is cooled by a Science of Speed racing intercooler. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via the Honda AP2 six-speed manual transmission, with a short shifter and an ACT flywheel, utilizing an ASM and Drexler limited-slip differential.

Dark Panther Aesthetics and Japanese Luxury Details
This S2000, named BP25 in commemoration of the company’s 25th anniversary, is a visual work of art. The body features the Varis Dark Panther wide body kit. This kit includes aggressive carbon fiber aerodynamic elements, a vented hood, and a fixed wing. The car was painted with the same Lamborghini Balloon White color as Bulletproof’s first show car, the Concept One.
The 19-inch BP-RW Evolutions wheels are another outstanding aesthetic detail. Their design is inspired by the Tsuchime technique, a hammered metal typically found on Japanese knives. Furthermore, these wheels are wrapped in high-grip Toyo Tires Proxes R888R tires. The brakes are Brembo Pista, with six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers at the rear axle. Inside, RS-G Limited Edition Super Start seats, a Mugen steering wheel, and Willians FIA racing harnesses were installed.
