Renault Twingo E-Tech 2025: First Images of Europe’s Most Affordable Electric City Car
The iconic Twingo reinvents itself as a 100% electric vehicle, featuring contemporary style and a price that democratizes zero-emission mobility.

Just weeks ahead of its official debut on November 6, 2025, the Renault Twingo E-Tech electric is already generating excitement in the European market. Following the strategy of the Renault 4 and 5 E-Tech, the brand has launched the Twingo R Pass program, aimed at urban car enthusiasts, offering early access to orders, priority in production and delivery, and exclusive benefits. In Spain, the program will be available starting October 13.
Modern design with nods to the original Twingo
Renault has unveiled the first official images, showcasing a Twingo E-Tech that combines contemporary details with references to the first-generation 1993 model, a symbol of practicality and personality in the A-segment. The design preserves the original Twingo philosophy, adapted to a compact, electric, and efficient urban vehicle, perfect for today’s mobility challenges in cities.
Developed in less than two years, the new Twingo aims to democratize access to zero-emission mobility, with an entry price below €20,000 before government incentives, making it one of the most affordable electric cars in its class. This strategy reinforces Renault’s commitment to providing sustainable mobility solutions without compromising on style or technology.
Built on the AmpR Small platform, the Twingo E-Tech is a compact, clever, and highly efficient vehicle, designed to maximize interior space, reduce environmental impact, and minimize its physical footprint in urban environments. Its small size and city-focused approach make it an ideal car for 21st-century mobility.
With its launch, the Twingo E-Tech will mark a key step for Groupe Renault and Ampere, consolidating their goal of offering affordable, technologically advanced, and stylish electric vehicles, strengthening the French brand’s presence in the competitive European urban EV market.
