New Toyota Corolla Cross 2025: GR Sport version and advanced hybrid technology arrive
The new generation of Toyota’s compact SUV debuts a fresh design, enhanced dynamics and more efficient hybrid options than ever before.

Toyota has officially unveiled the new Corolla Cross Hybrid 2025, a C-segment SUV that has been thoroughly updated inside and out to maintain its strong position in the hybrid market. The biggest news is the arrival of the sportier GR Sport trim, along with the addition of intelligent AWD-i all-wheel drive, designed to improve safety and dynamic performance in all driving situations.
Redesigned exterior and sportier GR Sport version
On the outside, the Corolla Cross 2025 features a redesigned front grille, new front and rear light clusters, updated mirrors and revised bumpers. These updates are complemented by modern 18-inch alloy wheels. The GR Sport trim goes even further, offering a two-tone body, black 19-inch wheels and a panoramic roof. Beyond aesthetics, this version includes a firmer suspension setup that sharpens steering response, boosts stability and delivers greater control in all conditions.
Inside, the GR Sport stands out with sport seats featuring the GR logo, steering wheel paddle shifters, a smart digital key and exclusive finishes. Comfort remains a priority thanks to heated seats and steering wheel, a power tailgate, and a redesigned center console that optimizes interior space.
Hybrid efficiency with intelligent AWD-i
Under the bonnet, the 2025 lineup consists of two hybrid powertrains: Hybrid 140 (Style trim) and Hybrid 200 (Style and GR Sport trims). The latter is also available with AWD-i intelligent all-wheel drive, ideal for improving handling in wet conditions, on low-grip surfaces or at motorway speeds. Average fuel consumption remains at 5 l/100 km (WLTP cycle), confirming the Corolla Cross as one of the most efficient SUVs in its class.
Orders are now open in Spain, with prices starting at €36,500 for the Corolla Cross Hybrid 140 Style. With this update, Toyota strengthens its position in the competitive C-SUV segment, offering a compelling mix of hybrid efficiency, advanced traction technology and a sportier character.
