2026 Nissan Pathfinder Revealed: A Subtle Refresh with More Screens and Exclusive Three-Row Technology

By  |

Nissan’s three-row SUV is updated with a sharper front design, new paint options, and more standard technology inside. The model introduces a standard 12.3-inch screen and brings back the “invisible hood” system for off-road versions.

Subtle Design, Impactful Technology

Nissan continues its lineup refresh for the US with the popular 2026 Pathfinder. Although the aesthetic changes are not dramatic at first glance, the brand has sought a sleeker, more modern design. The revamped front end features a wider, more streamlined grille. The grille loses its silver surround and adopts smaller inserts, aligning its aesthetics with the new Kicks and Murano. A new exterior color, Baltic Teal, is added. SL and Platinum models swap their silver roof rails for black ones, and the Platinum version debuts an exclusive 20-inch wheel design.

The Interior: More Digital and with Faster Charging

The biggest transformation is found in the cabin. All 2026 Pathfinder models now come standard with a 12.3-inch central touchscreen. This includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The SL and Platinum trims add a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, Nissan has improved the wireless charging pad. It now features a cooling system and magnetic phone alignment, and increases charging output from 5 to 15 watts.

“Invisible Hood” Returns and the 284 HP V6

The 3.5-liter V6 engine remains unchanged. It continues to offer 284 HP and 259 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive (AWD) remains available across all trims.

The high-end versions (Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum) now feature a high-definition overhead camera. Furthermore, the “invisible hood” feature returns. This system allows drivers to see through the hood and engine bay. It is especially useful for off-road maneuvers in the Rock Creek model. Towing capacity remains at 3,500 pounds for standard models and 6,000 pounds for the most equipped versions. The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder will be officially unveiled later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
