Volkswagen T-Roc 2026: Compact SUV, hybrid, and bigger from €29,600
The new generation VW T-Roc arrives with more space, Eco badge, mild-hybrid engines, and the promise of the brand’s first full hybrid.

A compact SUV growing in every aspect
Volkswagen is taking a bold step with the 2026 T-Roc, one of the best-selling SUVs in Europe in recent years. Built on the MQB Evo platform and assembled in Palmela, Portugal, the model has grown 12 cm in length (4.37 m) and 28 mm in wheelbase (2.63 m), offering more rear passenger space and a 465-liter boot. These upgrades make the T-Roc a city SUV with superior comfort and presence compared to its competitors.
Mild-hybrid engines and Eco badge
While the full hybrid version based on the 1.5 turbo engine (136 or 170 hp) will arrive at the end of next year, the current Spanish range offers two 1.5 TSI mild-hybrid engines with 116 and 150 hp, both paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic and front-wheel drive. Depending on the trim –T-Roc, Más, or R-Line– prices start from €29,600 with promotional discount, compared to the official list price of €34,285, making the Eco badge and efficiency accessible to many drivers.
More technological and sustainable interior

Inside, the T-Roc 2026 takes a big leap in quality and technology. The SUV uses 20% recycled plastics, a renewed steering wheel with physical buttons, and a dual-screen dashboard: 10 inches for the instrument cluster and up to 13 inches for the multimedia system. With Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and high-quality finishes, Volkswagen shows that the T-Roc has grown not only in size but also in comfort and connectivity.
Trims and prices for every preference
The current range allows choices between several trims and power levels, offering options from €29,600 to €36,900 with discount. This allows drivers to access a fully equipped urban SUV with technology, efficiency, and comfort without compromising on design or usability. The choice depends on the desired engine and trim, but all share a modern and safe foundation.
Expectations and upcoming test drive
The Volkswagen T-Roc 2026 is set to set the standard in its segment, especially with the arrival of the full hybrid. In a few weeks, the international presentation and first test drives will reveal the SUV’s driving sensations, handling, and comfort, cementing its position as one of the most desirable compact SUVs in the European market.
