Toyota Reports Strong June and Q2 2026 U.S. Sales Growth
Toyota Motor North America posted higher June and second-quarter sales in the U.S., driven by record demand for electrified vehicles and another standout performance from the RAV4 Hybrid.
Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) continued its strong momentum in the U.S. market by reporting 212,793 vehicles sold in June 2026, an increase of 10.1% compared with the same month last year. The automaker also posted positive second-quarter results, with electrified vehicles accounting for more than half of all deliveries.
The latest figures highlight Toyota’s continued success with its multi-powertrain strategy, as hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery-electric vehicles continue attracting more American buyers.
Toyota June 2026 U.S. sales driven by electrified vehicles
The Toyota June 2026 U.S. sales report showed significant growth across both Toyota and Lexus brands.
Toyota sold 122,063 electrified vehicles in June, representing a 35% increase year over year and accounting for 57.4% of total monthly sales.
For the second quarter, Toyota delivered:
- 673,971 total vehicles (+1.1%)
- 383,091 electrified vehicles (+19.5%)
- Electrified models represented 56.8% of all second-quarter sales
Toyota currently offers 33 electrified models across the Toyota and Lexus lineups, giving customers one of the industry’s broadest selections of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric vehicles.

RAV4 Hybrid leads another strong quarter for Toyota
The Toyota brand remained the company’s primary growth driver.
Toyota Division reported:
- 183,627 June sales (+11.2%)
- 585,211 second-quarter sales (+2.6%)
- 110,627 electrified vehicle sales in June (+38%)
The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid achieved its best sales performance ever, while electrified vehicles reached a record 61.4% sales mix across the Toyota brand.
According to Toyota Motor North America Senior Vice President Andrew Gilleland, customer demand continues growing thanks to Toyota’s wide range of affordable vehicles, many of which start below $35,000, combined with the company’s long-term multi-pathway electrification strategy.

Lexus also posts another strong June in the U.S.
While Lexus experienced a softer second quarter overall, the luxury division still achieved its best June sales result ever.
Lexus reported:
- 29,166 June sales (+3.9%)
- 11,436 electrified vehicle sales (+11.7%)
- 37,300 electrified vehicle sales during Q2 (+6.5%)
Electrified models continue playing an increasingly important role for Lexus as customer demand shifts toward more efficient luxury vehicles.
