The Lamborghini Miura revolutionized the concept of the sports car in the 1960s. It is considered the first supercar in history. In fact, it combined a V12 engine mounted in a central position with an impressive Bertone design.

Among the many Miura produced, chassis 4809 is a 1971 P400 S that will be present at the upcoming Broad Arrow Global Icons auction. This auction will include more than 100 lots related to legends such as Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

History, Restoration, and Originality of the Unit

This Miura is one of the last approximately 338 P400 S models built. Initially, it was delivered to the Vela Murillo dealership in Tenerife. Subsequently, it passed into the hands of a Swiss owner in 1998.

Between 2006 and 2011, the vehicle was meticulously restored to the classic Giallo Miura with a black leather interior. Furthermore, the original “matching numbers” engine was updated to the SV split crankcase lubrication system. The Lamborghini arrives at the auction in a near-original state, fresh from a full service valued at more than 15,000 Swiss francs.
