The Skoda 2026 range is gearing up for one of the most significant strategic leaps in its recent history. The manufacturer from Mladá Boleslav will broaden its electric offering at both extremes of the market, introducing its smallest and most affordable model alongside its largest and most ambitious one. Two very different vehicles, yet united by a common vision: electrification, modern design and practical technology–core Skoda values now reinterpreted for the electric era.

Skoda Epiq: the urban electric car aimed at the masses

The Skoda Epiq will be the key entry-level newcomer and the most affordable electric vehicle in the brand’s range, with an estimated price of around €25,000. Measuring 4.1 metres in length, it will compete in the B-segment electric crossover category and adopt the new Modern Solid design language, featuring a Tech-Deck front end, slim headlights and a minimalist aesthetic. Inside, it will focus on functionality and technology, with compact screens, fewer physical controls and the brand’s hallmark Simply Clever solutions to maximise space.

Built on the MEB Entry platform, shared with the CUPRA Raval and the future Volkswagen ID.Polo, the Epiq will feature front-wheel drive and an estimated range of over 400 km, highly competitive figures for its segment. Its production in Spain underlines its strategic importance within the Volkswagen Group, positioning it as one of the cornerstones of the group’s new family of urban electric cars. Its official debut is scheduled for May 2026.

At the opposite end of the spectrum will be Skoda’s new 7-seat electric SUV, a model set to become the technological flagship of the brand. Directly inspired by the Vision 7S concept, this large SUV–whose name has yet to be confirmed, although it may be called Skoda Space–will feature a bold, modern design with strong lines, split lighting and a minimalist front fascia. At nearly 4.9 metres long, it will offer outstanding interior space and a generous boot even with the third row of seats in use.

The interior will set a new benchmark for Skoda, with a 14.6-inch vertical central display, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and an advanced user experience. Based on the MEB platform, it will be available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, outputs of up to around 340 hp, and a potential range exceeding 600 km. Its market launch is expected in spring 2026, with prices starting at approximately €60,000, although official confirmation is still pending.

With the Epiq and the forthcoming 7-seat electric SUV, Skoda shows a sharp understanding of today’s market: democratising electric mobility while still offering a desirable, high-tech product at the top end of the range. A coherent and ambitious strategy, fully aligned with the brand’s practical DNA, as Skoda places a significant part of its future on this dual electric bet in 2026.
