Renault Koleos 2026: Strategic SUV Improvements, Special Edition… Hybrid/Turbo 4×4!

The 4.78-meter long SUV is renewed to compete directly in the D segment, adding comprehensive technological equipment and two powerful engine options: turbo and Full Hybrid.

The latest generation of the Renault Koleos/Grand Koleos uses the CMA platform, taking the Chinese Geely Xingyue L as its starting point. With its 4.78 meters in length, the SUV targets key rivals in the segment, such as the Kia Sorento 2026, the Nissan X-Trail, and the Skoda Kodiaq.

For the 2026 Model Year, the brand introduces improvements by paying attention to customer requests. The Renault Grand Koleos 2026 debuts a large panoramic sliding roof. Likewise, the Satin Universe White matte exterior color is added to the offering.

Multimedia Equipment and MY2026 Features

The cabin welcomes occupants with a spectacular atmosphere, incorporating a 12.3-inch panoramic triple screen. The OpenR multimedia system, which improves with the MY2026, offers artificial intelligence, 5G network, and real-time navigation. Furthermore, the vehicle offers a three-zone climate control system and a BOSE audio system.

The OpenR system is enhanced with direct access to air conditioning and adds 20 games to enjoy inside the vehicle. It even includes a karaoke mode with a wireless microphone. The sporty Esprit Alpine trim benefits from new upholstery in Pure Gray Nappa imitation leather.

Engines: Turbo, Hybrid, and Advanced Traction

The engine range starts with the 2.0 turbo gasoline engine with 211 hp. The 4×2 version is associated with a 7-speed DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the variant with the sixth-generation BorgWarner 4×4 system is combined with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

In addition, the new Koleos offers a 1.5 turbo E-TECH Full Hybrid mechanical system. This version delivers a combined 245 hp and is associated with the Multimode transmission, featuring front-wheel drive. The 1.64 kWh battery it uses shines for its efficiency, allowing it to drive up to 75% of the time in electric mode in the city.

Escapade Special Edition and Pricing

The Escapade special edition is distinguished by its pronounced ‘off-road’ focus. The model features a black body kit, logos, and exclusive 20-inch wheels. The interior includes rubber floor mats and padded light brown leather seats.

In terms of equipment, the Koleos offers numerous assistance features. Highlights include the central airbag, automatic parking, evasive steering, and the semi-autonomous driving system. Prices in the Korean market start at a competitive 20,700 euros converted.
