Peugeot is preparing the next generation of its successful 208, scheduled for release in 2026. Although official details remain scarce, the newly revealed Polygon Concept gives us the first glimpse of what the small hatchback of the future will look like. This prototype, set to be unveiled on November 12, serves as the foundation for the brand’s new design language and will also be the first model to use Stellantis’ STLA Small platform.

A Bold Design That Defines Peugeot’s New DNA

Under the slogan “Let the fun begin”, the Peugeot Polygon Concept showcases an extreme and futuristic design, with bold proportions and details that clearly reveal its prototype nature. Oversized wheels, ultra-short overhangs, and a very compact bonnet stand out at first glance, reinforcing the car’s electric identity. In fact, the STLA Small architecture will allow Peugeot to offer both fully electric and hybrid powertrains, following the group’s multi-energy strategy.

The front end also represents a major evolution: the iconic vertical “fang” headlights are gone, replaced by three horizontal lighting segments, a feature that will define Peugeot’s next generation of models. It’s highly likely that the new Peugeot 208 will inherit this lighting signature and much of the Polygon’s sleek silhouette, though with a more practical and urban-friendly execution.

A Futuristic Cabin and the Evolution of the i-Cockpit

Inside, the concept displays a vivid, futuristic interior with bold shapes and innovative materials, hinting at the next step in the evolution of Peugeot’s renowned 3D i-Cockpit. The brand may use this generational leap to introduce a more digital and ergonomic driving position, keeping the trademark compact steering wheel and raised display layout that define its models.

All Eyes on November 12

The Peugeot Polygon Concept will make its official debut on November 12, when we’ll discover more about its technical details and how its styling will influence the future Peugeot 208 2026. What’s already clear is that Peugeot is doubling down on boldness and technology, reinforcing its status as one of Europe’s most innovative carmakers in the B-segment.
