New Toyota bZ4X 2026: Prices, Range and Equipment of the Electric SUV Aiming to Dominate the Market
Toyota renews one of its most ambitious models and launches it with an aggressive pricing strategy designed to challenge the segment’s electric leaders.

A restyling that raises the bar
The new Toyota bZ4X 2026 is now on sale in Spain, arriving with a restyling that sharpens its exterior design, modernises the interior, and improves its technical underpinnings. In addition, the Japanese brand has fine-tuned the suspension and enhanced acoustic insulation, resulting in a noticeably more refined driving experience. These upgrades position the model as a direct rival to the Hyundai IONIQ 5 facelift, Kia EV6, Tesla Model Y, Skoda Enyaq, Volkswagen ID.4, and other benchmark electric SUVs.
Efficient battery and impressive charging performance
The entire range features a 73 kWh lithium-ion battery, which supports AC charging at up to 22 kW (taking around 3.5 hours in optimal conditions) and DC fast charging at 150 kW, allowing it to go from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The Advance trim, which serves as the entry point, develops 165 kW (224 hp) with front-wheel drive, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, reaches a top speed of 160 km/h, and delivers an impressive 569 km of WLTP-certified range.
More power with the Spirit version
For those seeking greater performance, Toyota offers the Spirit variant, equipped with 252 kW (343 hp) and AWD-i all-wheel drive. This version cuts the 0 to 100 km/h sprint to 5.1 seconds, while maintaining the same top speed. The driving range stands at 468 km, a highly competitive figure for a mid-size SUV.
Space, comfort and technology
Measuring 4.69 metres in length with a 2.85-metre wheelbase, the new bZ4X delivers a spacious interior, making it a great choice for families. Its 452-litre boot provides ample storage, while its Zero Emissions environmental badge grants unrestricted access to low-emission zones.
Comprehensive equipment from the base trim
The Advance specification already includes a generous list of features: nine airbags, a full suite of ADAS, keyless entry and start, heated and power-adjustable front seats, roof rails, a 360º camera, wireless chargers, tinted windows, Multi-LED headlights, a particle ioniser, 18-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate, electrically folding mirrors, a multimedia system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, synthetic leather upholstery, and a heated steering wheel.
With this update, Toyota strengthens its electrification strategy, offering a well-rounded SUV that combines efficiency, strong performance, and outstanding equipment — ready to take on Europe’s and Korea’s most established electric contenders.
