JAS Tensei 2026: The ‘Rebirth’ of the First Honda NSX by JAS Motorsport and Pininfarina
The Milan-based company, in collaboration with Pininfarina, will launch this limited edition focusing on purist driving and contemporary technology
JAS Motorsport named its road-going supercar Tensei, a Japanese term that literally means “rebirth”. The Tensei’s world premiere took place last November at the legendary Fuji Raceway in Japan. The Asian business partner SPS Global Ltd (SPS HK) organized this exclusive event. The occasion allowed the world a first concrete look at this car.
The Tensei is aimed at collectors willing to invest in an exclusive supercar. Consequently, JAS will limit the Tensei’s production to a few units. JAS will assemble the vehicle at its plant in Arluno, Milan. The “complete” presentation of the vehicle is expected for the first half of 2026. At that time, the brand will reveal technical and design details.
Pininfarina Design and Classic Driving Philosophy
Pininfarina was responsible for the Tensei’s line. The design company reinterpreted the iconic silhouette of the NSX with contemporary aesthetic resources. The bodywork is made entirely of carbon fiber, replacing the aluminum of the original version. This construction lightens the structure and gives an even more dynamic appearance.

The silhouette remains faithful to the original NSX, despite the modern focus. This includes pop-up headlights, a low profile, and balanced proportions. Current details, such as highly stylized LED headlights, sculpted air intakes, and updated aerodynamic components, enrich the design.
V6 Heart and Six-Speed Manual Transmission
Under the bodywork, the Tensei keeps the “V6 + six-speed manual gearbox” philosophy intact. This represents a tribute to the purist driving and sportiness of the classic NSX.
The engine is aspirated. JAS has revised and powered it with solutions derived from racing, an area where the brand excels. The engine promises higher performance, greater torque, and a quick and intense response. Rear-wheel drive completes a package designed for those who love the pleasure of analog driving and a direct connection with the asphalt.
