Honda Launches the New WR-V in Argentina: A Compact SUV with 121 HP and the Honda Sensing Safety Package
This compact SUV seeks to reinforce the brand’s presence in the country’s fastest-growing segment, offering a balance between modern design, functionality, and advanced safety technology.
Honda Argentina is preparing to add the WR-V to its local offering. The new compact SUV will become the starting point of the brand’s catalog. The Japanese firm seeks to expand its reach with this launch. Consequently, it responds to the strong demand for versatile and modern vehicles.
The WR-V arrives in the country to reinforce Honda’s presence in one of the fastest-growing segments. The model comes from the Itirapina industrial complex in Brazil, one of the company’s most advanced plants globally. It was developed there with a clear focus: combining an attractive design with functionality for daily life.
Engine and Mechanical Specifications
The WR-V incorporates the well-known 1.5 DOHC i-VTEC 16-valve engine under the hood. This engine delivers 121 HP and 14.8 kgm of torque. The mechanical system is paired with a CVT automatic transmission. In addition, this transmission includes Paddle Shift on the steering wheel. This allows for the selection of simulated gears for a more dynamic drive.
Differentiating Safety Technology
Safety provides the WR-V with one of its most notable values. The model is equipped with six airbags. Likewise, it includes rear sensors, a rearview camera with three angles, and hill start assist.
The SUV adds the Honda Sensing package. This technological suite includes collision mitigation braking. It also adds adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist. Finally, it features lane departure mitigation and automatic activation of high beams.

Roominess and Comfort
The model is distinguished by its interior spaciousness. It is 4.3 meters long and 1.8 meters wide. Along with this, it offers a 2.6-meter wheelbase. The space is comfortable for all occupants. In turn, the trunk has a capacity of 458 liters. This figure places it among the most generous in its category.
The new WR-V incorporates technology equipment aligned with the latest trends. It includes a 10.25-inch multimedia screen. It also offers wireless charging for phones, automatic climate control with rear vents, and leather upholstery. Lastly, it features 17-inch wheels, among other elements. The model will arrive in January 2026 in a single version called EXL.
