INTELLIGENT MOBILITY
Electric Attack: The Volvo EX30 Challenges Generalists with a Knockout Price of €20,750
The new Volvo EX30 MY 2026 breaks into the SUV segment with 272 HP and a Zero Emission Label. An aggressive offer that, with government aid, makes rivals like the Kia EV3 tremble.
The compact SUV market is burning with electricity. Models like the Kia EV3 or the Skoda Elroq have garnered attention, but the new Volvo EX30 aims to regain the spotlight. The Swedish brand has launched an aggressive promotion that makes it a direct competitor to generalist firms. This move is no accident, coming at a time when other manufacturers, such as Peugeot, are removing basic electric motors from their ranges. Consequently, the EX30 represents an accessible premium option that could redefine many buyers’ choices.
Nordic Power and Competitive Range
The Volvo EX30 Single Automatic RWD Core arrives with a powerful electric powertrain. The motor develops 200 kW (272 HP) of power, with 343 Nm of torque. Thanks to this configuration, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h. Power comes from a 51 kWh battery (49 kWh net). The SUV homologates 339 km of range under the combined WLTP cycle. In urban driving, this distance rises to a notable 441 km.
The premium crossover benefits from all the tax advantages of the DGT’s Zero Emission Label. Regarding charging times, it needs 6 hours with an 11 kW charger. On DC fast charging, the charging time from 10 to 80% drops to just 26 minutes. Its dimensions are compact: 4.23 meters long. The trunk offers 318 liters of capacity, supplemented by an additional 7 liters in the front ‘frunk’.
Premium Equipment and Scandinavian Safety
The promotional version is the Premium Edition, which is based on the Core level but adds relevant gadgets. It includes key passive safety features like seven airbags and an anti-theft alarm. In the comfort section, it has automatic climate control and a high-performance audio system. The wheels are 18 inches, it includes a digital key, and a 12.3-inch central screen. The multimedia system is Google-based.
As expected from a Volvo, the active safety equipment is immense. It features cross-traffic and door opening alerts. It also incorporates adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane and traffic jam assistants, and blind spot detection. The headlights are LED with active high beams and it features an advanced collision mitigation system. This extensive equipment reinforces the image of a premium and safe vehicle.

Irresistible Price with MOVES and Free Wallbox
The main appeal lies in its final offer price. The Volvo EX30 Single Automatic RWD Core MY 2026 is offered for 28,600 euros. This promotion requires financing a minimum of 23,000 euros for no less than 36 months. By adding the MOVES Plan and the CAE (Energy Saving Certificate), the final cost is reduced to a very aggressive 20,750 euros. As a final blow to the competition, the offer includes a free Wallbox charger, with installation already included.
