SUV-B Alert! Hyundai Challenges the Competition with the New Affordable Creta ‘Safety’: Maximum Protection for Less Money!
Hyundai strengthens its offensive in the compact SUV segment in Argentina with the introduction of the Creta Safety, a version that maintains the technology and six standard airbags to democratize safety.

The Argentine compact SUV market (Segment B) has just received a new, very serious contender. Hyundai has announced the launch of the Creta Safety, a strategic addition to its local lineup. The goal is clear: to offer a more accessible alternative than its sibling, the Creta Safety+, without sacrificing the fundamental pillars that have defined the success of the new generation. Both versions share the distinctive global design of the Korean house–framed by the “Sensuous Sportiness” philosophy–and the modern platform, ensuring that, despite its lower price, the model retains a high-level technical and aesthetic foundation.
Comprehensive Safety: Hyundai’s Non-Negotiable Commitment
While the focus of this new version is accessibility, the term “Safety” is not just a commercial name. In a move that prioritizes occupant protection, the Creta Safety incorporates a package of active and passive safety features that comply with the brand’s global standards. This includes the crucial equipment of six airbags as standard, a number that places it above many direct rivals. Furthermore, it features Electronic Stability and Traction Controls (ESC/TCS), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a reverse camera, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. This safety arsenal ensures that cost reduction does not compromise passenger well-being.
Under the bonnet, the Creta Safety remains true to its performance. Both versions in the range are powered by the same engine: the efficient Smartstream G 1.5 D-CVVT, capable of delivering 115 CV (horsepower) and a torque of 14.7 kgm. This engine is paired with the modern IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), which simulates eight pre-programmed speeds. This mechanical configuration ensures that the vehicle maintains its efficiency, driving comfort, and habitability that characterize the model, proving that accessibility does not mean giving up modern and capable mechanical equipment.
Regarding comfort features, the new Creta proves to be much more than a basic option. The vehicle incorporates an 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a detail highly valued by the modern driver. Added to this are features such as button start, electrically folding mirrors, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, and automatic windows on all four doors. Externally, the design remains distinctive with 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and roof rails.
With a list price of 27,500 dollars, the new Creta Safety is presented as a highly competitive alternative, positioning itself significantly below the 35,000 dollars of the Safety+ version. This aggressive pricing, combined with high-level safety and comfort equipment, makes it a very tempting option for those looking for a robust, technological, and above all, safe SUV-B, without making an excessive financial outlay. Hyundai is ready to win the value-for-money battle.
