The Indestructible C3 Goes All Out! Citroën C3 XTR: The Edition That Skyrockets Sales and Breaks the 100,000 Unit Barrier
The French utilitarian vehicle with a crossover soul celebrates a historic production milestone in Brazil with the arrival of a new version that catapults it to stardom: the robust and connected Citroën C3 XTR.

The Citroën C3, the compact car that has successfully flirted with SUV aesthetics to carve out a niche in the market, is celebrating. Since its launch in 2003 at the Stellantis Automotive plant in Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, it has proven to be an essential and practical vehicle. Now, the double chevron brand can boast a remarkable achievement, having reached the impressive figure of 100,000 units produced. This milestone is no coincidence, as the C3 has won over thousands of drivers thanks to a cocktail of highly valued features: generous interior space, a sizable boot, and, of course, a state-of-the-art multimedia system.
C3 XTR: The Adventurous and Technological Twist

But if there is one catalyst for this recent success, it is the introduction of the 2026 line and, in particular, the new XTR version. This variant arrives with a clear mission: to offer a more adventurous and robust proposition without forcing the driver to give up the accessibility that has always characterized Citroën. The C3 XTR is positioned as the top-of-the-range model with the 1.0 Firefly engine and manual transmission, capable of developing up to 75 CV (horsepower), a combination designed for daily driving without sacrificing fuel efficiency.
This new edition not only boasts a stylish design but also improved functionality for various scenarios. The XTR is equipped with ATR mixed-use tyres and 15-inch wheels, which grant it greater versatility and ability to handle diverse terrains. But the real leap is noticeable in the cabin. The interior of the new C3 has been renewed with new upholstery, a practical driver’s armrest has been added, a dashboard with fresh finishes, and a darkened cabin for a sportier and more elegant touch.
In the technology section, the C3 takes the lead in its segment. It incorporates the 10.25-inch Citroën Connect Touchscreen multimedia centre, the largest among its direct competitors, which also features ultra-thin glossy black bezels. This connectivity is enhanced by wireless mirroring via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allowing the user a smooth, cable-free interaction. Focusing on comfort and the driving experience, a crucial ergonomic improvement has been made starting from the Feel version: the power window controls have been relocated from the centre console to the driver’s door, a change that significantly improves usability.
The new Citroën C3 XTR is thus presented as the most complete and advanced option in the range. With this level of equipment, technology, and the look of a compact hatchback with SUV character, it is no wonder the brand has boosted its production to this milestone. The list price for acquiring this version in the market is 32,340,000 pesos, a figure that reflects its premium positioning within the C3 family.
