Toyota Century Coupe: Rendering Imagines a Direct Rival for Rolls-Royce

By  |

Kelsonik’s digital interpretation removes the SUV traits from the original prototype to project a supreme luxury Grand Tourer.

Digital artist Nikita Chuicko, known as Kelsonik, has transformed the Century Coupe Concept into a production-ready proposal. Unlike the Japan Mobility Show prototype, this visually lowered version eliminates the gloss black wheel arch protectors. By removing these elements, the vehicle abandons its “crossover” appearance to gain a stately stance. Likewise, the side sills have been reduced, optimizing visual proportions and suggesting greater interior space.

In the front section, the render replaces the silver lower trim–which simulated a skid plate–with two large air vents. This modification reinforces its luxury sports car character and moves away from the Century SUV aesthetic. The rear also receives critical changes, finally incorporating a glass rear window instead of the concept’s solid panel. Additionally, the floating rear pillar is replaced by a body-color panel, achieving a more fluid and cohesive design.

A New Era for the Century Brand

Under Akio Toyoda’s leadership, Century is evolving from a Japan-exclusive model into a global prestige brand. This new firm sits above Lexus to compete directly with manufacturers like Bentley or Rolls-Royce. Kelsonik’s render imagines the Century Coupe as a spiritual successor to the Rolls-Royce Wraith or a competitor to the Spectre. Although the original concept featured striking 60-layer orange paint, the render proposes an elegant silver tone.

Despite these projections, the final production model is highly likely to retain certain SUV traits. Nonetheless, Kelsonik’s vision demonstrates Century’s potential as a world-class Grand Tourer. The brand seeks to embody the Japanese spirit of hospitality and technical precision in every detail. With this expansion, Toyota aims to challenge European dominance in the highest segment of the automotive market.
