The Ferrari That Dreamed of Being a Supra: Only Five Units and Over $1 Million
A British creation revives the legendary Ferrari 599 GTB with more power, carbon fiber, and a design that sparks debate. Only five people in the world will be able to own it.
Many years have passed since the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano reigned as Maranello’s grand tourer of choice. It was succeeded by the F12 Berlinetta, the 812 Superfast, and more recently, the 12Cilindri. Yet the UK-based coachbuilder Talos has decided to bring it back – not as a restoration, but as a boldly reimagined limited edition called the Talos XXT, restricted to just five bespoke examples. Its styling, which some say edges close to a 1990s Toyota Supra Mk4 tuner, is officially inspired by the track-only Ferrari 599XX, though it retains full road legality.
More Carbon Fiber Than Ever and Aerodynamics Turned Up to Eleven
The Talos XXT makes a statement with a fully reworked body clad in lightweight carbon fiber components: a front splitter, canards, wider fenders, a vented hood, side intakes, a reengineered rear diffuser, and a fixed rear wing that refuses to go unnoticed.
Its 20-inch forged alloy wheels and race-ready stance echo competition machinery, though without crossing into Mansory-level flamboyance. Each buyer can personalize their Talos XXT through bespoke liveries, matte or gloss carbon finishes, and custom interior materials – with optional roll cage installation and modern infotainment upgrades available.

A Naturally Aspirated V12 That Roars Louder Than Ever
Under the hood lies Ferrari’s iconic 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12, now tuned to deliver 674 hp (503 kW / 683 PS) – that’s 63 more horses than the original 599 GTB. It even surpasses the 599 GTO and Aperta, though not quite the extreme 599XX. According to Talos, it sprints from 0–62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, maintaining a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h). Optional upgrades to the engine, drivetrain, and exhaust system are also available, and both manual and automatic, left- or right-hand-drive configurations are welcome.
Exclusivity Comes at a Price
According to Jamie Thwaites, Managing Director at Talos Vehicles, the project required over two years of meticulous development and around 400 hours of craftsmanship. The price tag? A starting point of £850,000 (roughly $1.1 million USD), not including the donor car. In other words, it costs more than twice the price of a brand-new Ferrari 12Cilindri – but true exclusivity has never come cheap. With only five examples to be built, the Talos XXT stands as a fusion of power, precision, and rebellious design flair, reviving the bold spirit of the 1990s while honoring Ferrari’s performance heritage.
