The 1,128 HP Electric Ferrari and the Return of the Testarossa: All the News from Maranello in 2026
The Prancing Horse looks to the future with its first zero-emission vehicle and rewrites history with the 849 Testarossa hypercar.
The year 2026 is shaping up to be a historic turning point for Maranello. The model commanding global attention is undoubtedly the first Electric Ferrari. Scheduled for a full reveal next spring, this model symbolizes the great ‘E’ of electrification. Despite the misgivings of some purists, the Italian firm remains committed to sportiness and power. Furthermore, the electrification already present in other models ensures that the thrill will not be lost.
The Most Anticipated Trio of Prancing Horses
The electric Ferrari will be a crossover/SUV with a 2.96-meter wheelbase. This new four-seater model will feature all-wheel drive thanks to a motor on each wheel. The total combined output will be an impressive 1,128 HP. Additionally, its structural 122 kWh battery will provide an electric range of over 530 km. Nevertheless, 2026 will begin with the deliveries of two highly anticipated Gran Turismos.
The first units of the Ferrari Amalfi, the successor to the Roma, will arrive at the beginning of 2026. This coupe retains rear-wheel drive and a 640 HP non-electrified V8 engine. The Amalfi incorporates more refined aerodynamics and a change inside. Most notably, the new steering wheel reverts to physical buttons instead of the tactile ones from the previous GT. The convertible Amalfi Spider is also expected to be presented that same year.

The resurrection of a legend arrives with the Ferrari 849 Testarossa. This is a plug-in hybrid hypercar reaching 1,050 combined HP. Its powertrain combines an 830 HP twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors. Thanks to this enormous force, it hits 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds. Available in coupe and Spider body styles, its form strictly follows its function: to be extremely fast and efficient. The battery allows for about 25 km of range in all-electric mode.
Finally, Ferrari has announced that it will debut four entirely new models during the year. One of these could be the Ferrari SP4 Icona. This would be the new jewel of the Icona series, famous for its limited editions, like the Daytona SP3. While previous Icona models featured naturally aspirated V12 engines, it is rumored (unconfirmed) that the SP4 might opt for the V6 from the 296 Speciale. The most fascinating rumor is the possible inclusion of a manual gearbox, a component absent from Maranello since 2012.
