A Glimpse into Tomorrow’s Skoda Family Cars

At the 2025 Munich Motor Show, Skoda unveiled the Vision O, a concept car that envisions the future of station wagons. More than just a design exercise, the Vision O is a manifesto of electrification, sustainability, and forward-thinking design, pointing toward a zero-emission family car in the near future.

Unprecedented Design

Measuring 4.85 meters long, 1.90 meters wide, and 1.50 meters high, the Vision O shares proportions with the Skoda Superb but advances the Modern Solid design language with clean, robust shapes. The illuminated Tech-loop grille dominates the front, while aerodynamic lines maximize efficiency and range. The body features color-shifting mica pearl pigments, and the rear integrates T-shaped LED lights and an illuminated Skoda logo, designed to communicate with other vehicles in autonomous mode.

Cinema-Inspired Interior

Inside, the Vision O is minimalist yet immersive. A 1.2-meter-wide Horizon Display stretches across the dashboard, flanked by a central vertical screen. The AI assistant Laura manages vehicle functions, plans routes, provides environmental information, and entertains passengers. Bio-Adaptive Lighting automatically adjusts to natural light, while innovative features like an integrated fridge and portable speaker enhance comfort. The trunk offers over 650 liters of capacity, perfect for family trips.

Sustainability Meets Relaxation

The Vision O prioritizes sustainability using circular and recycled materials, including PET-based fabrics, plant-derived textiles, regenerated leather, and 3D-printed monomaterial headrests. Advanced autonomous driving includes a Tranquil Mode, which reconfigures the cabin for maximum relaxation, creating a serene travel experience for all passengers.

From Concept to Production

Although the Vision O is currently a prototype, many of its innovations—including exterior design and interior solutions—will influence upcoming Skoda models, ushering in a new era for electric family sedans that combines technology, comfort, and environmental responsibility.
