Ram Dakota 2025 Arrives in Argentina: Prices and Details of the New Mid-size Pick-up
Stellantis has commercially launched the new Ram Dakota pick-up in Argentina, following the start of its production at the Córdoba Industrial Hub.
The new Ram Dakota shares its platform and mechanics with its sibling, the Fiat Titano. However, the Dakota is barely 2 cm longer, reaching 5.35 meters. It maintains the same wheelbase, set at 3.18 meters.
The pick-up guarantees a ground clearance of 22.8 cm. Furthermore, it features interesting approach and departure angles for off-road driving. The approach angle is 27.7° for the Warlock version and 27.6° for the Laramie. Both versions have a departure angle of 26.7°.
Aesthetic Differences between Warlock and Laramie
The two versions are notably distinguished by their aesthetics and wheels. The Ram Dakota Warlock showcases a more off-road design and comes equipped with 17-inch wheels. This version features Satin Grey finish bumpers and grille. Its black exterior moldings, dark side mirrors, and exclusive “Rambar” roll bar also stand out.
Conversely, the Laramie version is oriented towards a more refined proposal and rides on 18-inch wheels. It is characterized by body-colored bumpers and moldings. Additionally, it includes a chrome grille and mirrors, and the distinctive Ram Led Lightbar. The Warlock uses 265/65 tires, while the Laramie uses 265/60.
Engine and Technology for Performance
Both options feature the well-known 2.2 turbodiesel engine, which develops 200 CV of power. This block delivers 450 Nm of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is important to note that this diesel engine requires UREA (ARNOX32) to comply with environmental regulations. Therefore, it has an additional 23-liter tank to refill this additive.
The traction system is permanent all-wheel drive and includes a low-range gear (High and Low). It also incorporates an electrically controlled rear differential lock. The truck features four driving modes that optimize the experience: Normal, Sport, Sand, and Snow. For “off-road” driving, it is assisted by a 540° camera and front and rear parking sensors.

Safety Equipment and Pricing
The cabin maintains the essence of the Changan Hunter pick-up, which served as the basis for both Stellantis models. It incorporates a configurable 7-inch digital dashboard. A 12.3-inch multimedia center with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility is also a highlight.
In terms of safety, the Ram Dakota offers 6 airbags: front, side, and curtain. It includes disc brakes with ABS and electronic distribution (EBD). Furthermore, it features electronic stability and traction control (ESC). A complete package of ADAS (driving assistance systems) adds value. Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking stand out. The package is completed with blind-spot detection.
The launch prices in Argentina are competitive. The new Ram Dakota Warlock costs 69,000,000 pesos. For its part, the price of the Laramie version amounts to 71,000,000 pesos. Both models come with a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty.
