Nissan 2026: A Wave of Electric Cars with the New-Generation Micra, LEAF, and Juke

By  |

The year 2026 will be marked by the arrival of several fundamental electric cars for Nissan.

Nissan Micra 2026: Urban and Electrified Return

Following a misunderstood previous generation, the new Nissan Micra is returning. This vehicle now adopts a purely urban format. Furthermore, it uses technology from the Renault 5 E-Tech, its French cousin. The new Micra is more clearly distinguishable on the exterior than in the cabin. However, only some materials and the logos are changed.

The car will be available in dealerships starting in January, with a price that starts from 27,700 euros. Customers can choose between two engines, with 122 and 150 hp. Each engine is associated with a different capacity battery: 40 kWh for the entry-level mechanics and 52 kWh for the more powerful one. Their homologated ranges reach 317 and 416 km, respectively. A less powerful 95 hp version will also arrive in the future.

Nissan LEAF 2026: Transformation into a Crossover Coupé

The first generation of the LEAF made history in its time. It was the first electric car for real use and the first emission-free vehicle to win the Car of the Year in Europe award, in 2011. However, the subsequent iteration lost that “special car” aura and ceded ground against the growing competition.

Now, the new LEAF, based on the Renault Scenic, arrives to close that gap. Firstly, this occurs from a styling perspective. It no longer presents a classic compact physique. Instead, it is a crossover coupé and is much larger than before. The interior offers more space. In terms of technology, it incorporates two 14.3-inch monitors each.

Nissan Juke 2026: The Urban SUV Goes Electric

The trio of novelties is completed with the Nissan Juke 2026. This is the Japanese brand’s new all-electric urban SUV. According to initial reports, the design will be even more elaborate compared to the combustion-engine Juke. It is important to note that both models will coexist in dealerships.

The new Juke is based on the CMF-EV platform of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. Therefore, it could mount the same batteries as the Ariya. The declared range estimates are between 400 and 480 km.
