New Skoda Karoq 2026 “130 Years Edition”: The SUV Celebrating 130 Years of Innovation with More Tech and an 8-Speed Gearbox!
Skoda launches a special edition of its successful Karoq to mark its 130th anniversary. Exclusive design, premium features, and a surprising new powertrain.

A special edition blending heritage, elegance, and technology
The new Skoda Karoq 2026 “130 Years Edition” arrives on the international market as both a tribute to the Czech brand’s rich history and a showcase of its technical evolution. Although the Karoq is one of the most established compact SUVs in its class, it remains a highly competitive option thanks to its balanced proportions, practicality, and comfort. Measuring 4.38 meters in length and offering a 521-litre boot, it continues to be one of the most versatile models in the segment.
Refined design and an interior that borders on luxury
Visually, this limited edition stands out with tinted windows, chrome accents, and Matrix LED headlights, giving it a sophisticated and contemporary look. The 19-inch Sagitarius alloy wheels and commemorative badging add an exclusive touch. Inside, Skoda emphasizes comfort with electrically adjustable heated seats with memory, full leather upholstery, and a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, features typically reserved for premium vehicles.
Technology worthy of a flagship SUV
When it comes to connectivity and safety, the Karoq 130 Years Edition delivers in full. It features the 10-inch Virtual Cockpit, a 9.2-inch touchscreen navigation system, a Canton sound system with 10 speakers, and wireless phone charging. On the safety side, it includes adaptive cruise control, 360º camera, lane assist, fatigue detection, and the semi-autonomous Travel Assist system, placing it on par with rivals like the Toyota Corolla Cross or Peugeot 3008.
Classic engine, surprising transmission
The real surprise lies under the hood. The Karoq 130 Years Edition is powered by a 1.4 TSI petrol engine with 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque sent to the front wheels. But what truly sets it apart is its transmission: an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, a rare choice compared to the more common DSG7 dual-clutch setup. This configuration offers a smoother and more refined driving experience, ideal for both urban commuting and long-distance journeys.
Competitive pricing and global ambition
The Skoda Karoq 130 Years Edition 2025/2026 is already available in select international markets such as Australia, with prices starting at around €28,300 (converted). Buyers can choose from four no-cost exterior colors: white, black, grey, and blue. With this special edition, Skoda not only celebrates its 130-year legacy but also reinforces its standing in the ever-competitive compact SUV market.
