New Nissan X-Trail 2025/2026: The Hybrid SUV That Challenges Its Rivals with a Tech-Filled Facelift
The Nissan X-Trail gets a complete makeover, featuring a more modern design, a refined interior, and the efficient yet powerful e-POWER hybrid system.
The Nissan X-Trail 2025/2026 arrives with a facelift that strengthens its position in the fiercely competitive SUV market, where models like the Toyota RAV4, Peugeot 5008, and Citroën C5 Aircross continue to raise the bar. This new X-Trail blends cutting-edge technology, refined design, and a hybrid e-POWER powertrain that redefines efficient driving without sacrificing performance.
A more robust and elegant design
On the outside, the new X-Trail stands out with a redesigned grille featuring horizontal slats, new LED turn signals, and a bumper finished in gloss black with satin silver accents—giving it a more sophisticated and dynamic appearance. The new 19-inch alloy wheels complete a modern, athletic look that reflects Nissan’s evolving design language.
Inside, the quality leap is evident. The dashboard combines elegance with functionality, with a black upper section, new USB-C ports, and updated upholstery options. Drivers can also opt for brown Nappa leather, adding a premium feel to the cabin. One highlight is the Intelligent 3D Around View Monitor with “transparent hood” function, a clever safety feature that shows what’s happening directly in front of the car.

At its heart, the new X-Trail retains its e-POWER hybrid system, in which the 144 hp gasoline engine acts solely as an electricity generator, powering a 204 hp electric motor in the 4×2 version. For the X-Trail e-4ORCE 4×4, a second 136 hp electric motor is added to the rear axle, delivering greater traction, responsiveness, and driving comfort in all conditions.
Finally, the Nissan X-Trail 2025/2026 has already begun its international rollout, with prices in Japan starting at around €22,250 and reaching €28,600 for the top trims. With this comprehensive update, Nissan aims to reinforce its dominance in the SUV segment, proving once again that the X-Trail remains a benchmark for innovation, efficiency, and versatility.
