INTELLIGENT MOBILITY
From Asia to Mexico: Zeekr and Lynk & Co Reinforce Their Premium Offer with the Arrival of 700 Electrified Cars
The Mexican market for premium and electrified vehicles has received a significant strategic boost. This occurred thanks to an integrated maritime logistics operation by Geely Holding Group.
This strengthening of the national stock materialized with the arrival of more than 750 units of advanced models at the Michoacán port. This event is crucial, as it consolidates the immediate product availability. In addition, it strengthens the logistics structure in Mexico, a key market for Geely’s expansion in Latin America.
The Premium Cars That Landed
Among the vehicles that arrived are several high-end models:
- Zeekr: 100% electric models: Zeekr X, Zeekr 7X, and Zeekr 001.
- Lynk & Co: Hybrid SUVs: (PHEV) 08 and (MHEV) 09.
- Geely: New Energy Vehicles (NEV): EX5 and EX5 EM-i.
The Logistics Key: Own Shipping Company and Ro-Ro Vessels
The efficiency of this supply lies in the completely integrated and proprietary maritime operation. Specifically, the cars are transported by GEELY JISU Logistics. This is the group’s own shipping company. It uses specialized Ro-Ro (roll-on/roll-off) vessels for vehicle transport. These vessels are designed to expedite loading and unloading. For example, cars enter and exit the vessel via direct ramps. This ensures faster and safer logistical processes. The Jisu Fortune vessel, powered by LNG, has a capacity close to 7,000 standard vehicles.
Strategic Advantages and Customer Service
The implementation of a proprietary vessel operation on the trade route to Mexico is a relevant step. This logistics model offers greater control over shipping times. In turn, it helps optimize inventory flows. This is fundamental for ensuring a stable supply in high-demand markets like Mexico. The integration of its own shipping company reduces dependence on external carriers. It also minimizes exposure to logistical disruptions.

This robust supply chain directly enhances the customer experience and the expansion of the brands. As a result, it allows Zeekr and Lynk & Co to maintain a spare parts service level above 90%. In this way, timely availability and a more competitive after-sales service are ensured.
This integrated logistical approach is one of the reasons behind Geely’s strong sales performance in Mexico. The brand exceeded 2,500 units sold in a single month in October 2025. Finally, it is projected to reach 3,000 vehicles in November.
