BYD Unveils Strategy in Argentina: The Parque Leloir Dealership as a Showcase for Electric and Hybrid Mobility

The BYD Leloir dealership, located at Avenida Presidente Perón 9125, Ituzaingó, Buenos Aires Province, serves as an important showcase. This show-room displays the current offerings as well as futuristic units that demonstrate the Chinese brand’s technological potential. The Espasa Group, with over 40 years in the automotive industry, has expressed great satisfaction and surprise at BYD’s potential, whose initial expectations have already been exceeded.

A Showcase of Extreme Technology and Luxury

The Leloir location exhibits models illustrating the automaker’s extreme capabilities. Among the displays is the BYD Yangwang U9, a two-seater supercar. The Xtreme version of the U9 holds the maximum speed record for a production car, reaching 466.22 km/h. The BYD U8 is also showcased, a luxurious SUV with amphibious capabilities. Displaying these vehicles aims to show the public the technological potential and breadth of the BYD portfolio.

Sebastián Molinari, general manager of BYD for the Espasa Group, confirmed the ambitious product expansion plan. BYD plans to incorporate seven or eight new models into the Argentine market during the next year. The primary focus of the group, according to Molinari, will be on hybrid cars. The brand’s product portfolio is extensive, spanning from the Mini Dolphin to the U9 Xtreme and the amphibious U8 SUV.

Espasa Group Expansion and Vision 2029

The Espasa Group is already working on a new expansion project. Specifically, they are building the upcoming BYD Belgrano location. The group is actively exploring new geographic opportunities that the brand may offer. The long-term vision is compelling: BYD has set the goal of ranking among the top three best-selling brands in the country by 2029. The general manager is convinced that BYD will become the leading brand in Argentina in the near future.
