The Crazy Polish Fiat 126 Conquers Europe! Will This Vintage Icon Become the Next Global Hot Wheels Car?
Paul Czarnecki’s custom-built Fiat 126B won the Hot Wheels Legends Tour EMEA 2025, beating out tough competition. This milestone propels him to the Grand Finale, where it could be transformed into an official 1:64 scale model and sold globally.
A Global Tour Driven by Passion
Let’s face it: we all looked at Hot Wheels cars with fascination at some point. The Hot Wheels Legends Tour, which began in 2018 to commemorate the brand’s 50th anniversary, has evolved from a local event into an international exhibition of custom vehicles. Every year, the tour seeks a custom gem to turn into an official toy car. The tour celebrates builders, enthusiasts, and families, attracting thousands of vehicle entries.
The jury was captivated by the 1990 Fiat 126B. This vehicle, hand-built by Paul Czarnecki from Poland, impressed with its bold design and exceptional craftsmanship. Furthermore, the model possesses the characteristic features needed for a Hot Wheels car.
The Final Battle is Today
The Polish builder Czarnecki prevailed in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) after a series of live events across the continent. The national winners reflected a rich regional car culture, including vehicles as diverse as a BMW i8 from the Middle East or a Honda NSX from the Iberian region.

Now, the Fiat 126B will compete in the World Grand Finale against winners from other regions. Among the rivals are the rugged Chevrolet S10 “Tina” (United States) and the distinctive Custom Yellow Pickup Vocho (Latin America). The exciting finale is taking place today, November 15, and will be streamed live on Hot Wheels’ official channels. Anticipation is at an all-time high in the motoring world.
This achievement is not just an honor, but a tangible reality. Remember that last year’s winner was La Liebre from Chile, a modified 1968 Ford Falcon, which is now available globally as a die-cast model. The Polish Maluch (nickname for the Fiat 126) has a golden opportunity to immortalize its custom spirit in toy history.
