Subaru Forester S:HEV: The Japanese Hybrid SUV Challenging the Toyota RAV4

The highly anticipated Subaru Forester S:HEV arrives from Japan with 197 combined HP, promising impressive efficiency compared to its competitors.

Its 1.1 kWh battery allows the vehicle to maintain the Eco label and reduces fuel consumption to 6.2 liters per 100 km, compared to 8.1 liters in the previous hybrid Forester. The Forester S:HEV surpasses the new Toyota RAV4 hybrid in power, which offers between 183 and 191 HP depending on the version. Additionally, it claims a range of over 1,000 km in Japan, making it a direct competitor to Toyota in Europe. Both models are expected to arrive in the Spanish market in 2026, setting the stage for an exciting rivalry in the hybrid SUV segment.

Price Estimates: Around €45,000

Although in Japan the Subaru Forester S:HEV starts at €25,500 at current exchange rates, in Spain the price is expected to be close to €45,000, very similar to the Toyota RAV4. Both SUVs promise maximum reliability, maintaining the high standards typical of Subaru and Toyota, ensuring a perfect balance of efficiency, power, and durability for European drivers.
