October 2025 New Car Sales in Argentina: The Market Accelerates Despite a Slight Monthly Slowdown
The Argentine automotive market closed October 2025 with over 51,000 new vehicles registered, consolidating a year of steady growth and signaling the industry’s strong recovery after years of instability.
During October 2025, Argentina’s new car market recorded 51,982 registrations, according to data from the Argentine Association of Automotive Dealers (ACARA). This represents a 16.9% increase compared with the same month in 2024, when 44,473 vehicles had been sold.
However, compared with September 2025, which ended with 56,240 registrations, there was a 7.6% drop, showing a slight correction after an especially strong previous month.
Year-to-date growth confirms a strong 2025
In the first ten months of the year, a total of 552,484 new vehicles were sold—an impressive 55.1% increase compared with 356,230 units during the same period in 2024.
These results confirm that 2025 continues to be a year of remarkable expansion for Argentina’s auto industry, driven by high demand for popular models, greater economic stability, and improved financing options.

Toyota and Peugeot lead the October sales ranking
Among the best-selling vehicles of the month, Toyota once again led the ranking with two of its star models. The Hilux took first place with 2,523 units sold, followed by the Yaris with 2,253. In third place, the Peugeot 208 maintained its strong performance with 2,232 registrations.
The Top 10 most-sold vehicles in October 2025 were:
Ford Ranger (2,031), Fiat Cronos (1,844), Ford Territory (1,709), Volkswagen Amarok (1,619), Chevrolet Tracker (1,532), Volkswagen Polo (1,460), and Volkswagen Tera (1,347).
A signal of confidence for the industry’s future
With a more stable macroeconomic environment and an increasingly competitive offer, new car sales in Argentina remain on an upward trend throughout 2025.
Manufacturers—both mainstream and premium—are strengthening their presence in the country with strategies focused on electrification, connectivity, and after-sales innovation, mirroring the technological evolution seen in Formula 1, where efficiency and performance are key.
The final quarter of the year will be decisive in confirming whether Argentina closes 2025 with its strongest commercial result of the last decade.
