New Nissan Sentra 2026: More Modern, Better Equipped, and Still Surprisingly Affordable
The Japanese compact sedan arrives refreshed with more technology and comfort, yet keeps its price below $24,000.

The 2026 Nissan Sentra stays true to its essence: technology and design without breaking the bank
The 2026 Nissan Sentra proves that a compact car can be modern, stylish, and technologically advanced without losing its affordability. The Japanese brand has completely revamped its most popular sedan, debuting the ninth generation with an updated exterior design, a refined interior, and enhanced equipment — all while maintaining a very competitive pricing strategy.
The base version, the Sentra S, starts at $23,645, only $810 more than the previous model, including destination charges. Despite the small increase, the car now comes standard with a 12.3-inch central display, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and full LED headlights. Additionally, heated seats and mirrors can be added for just $500.
Next up, the Sentra SV starts from $24,415, featuring dual 12.3-inch screens, multiple driving modes — including the new Sport mode — and automatic climate control. For added comfort, buyers can opt for the $900 Convenience Package, which adds heated seats and steering wheel, as well as ambient lighting, while a sunroof is available for an extra $650.
Meanwhile, the Sentra SR, the sportiest version, slightly raises its price to $26,245 and includes a more aggressive exterior design with exclusive bumpers, 18-inch wheels, and a wireless charger. It can also be equipped with the $650 All-Weather Package, adding dual-zone climate control and heated seats and steering wheel.
Finally, the Sentra SL sits at the top of the range, starting at $29,235, and comes with an eight-speaker Bose sound system, advanced ProPilot Assist driver aids, and premium TailorFit seats. Under the hood, all models retain the reliable 2.0-liter engine with 149 hp and 146 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT transmission that drives the front wheels.
The new 2026 Nissan Sentra will arrive at dealerships before the end of the year, reaffirming itself as one of the most well-balanced options in its segment: affordable, well-equipped, and built with the signature Japanese quality that defines the brand.
