Mazda 2026: Electric Offensive and Luxury SUV Range Renewal
The Japanese firm accelerates its energy transition with a new zero-emission SUV while updating its flagship models to dominate the premium segment.
Mazda will start 2026 with the launch of a highly anticipated all-electric SUV. This model will utilize the platform of the Mazda 6e sedan thanks to a strategic collaboration with Changan. The vehicle will be positioned in the D-segment due to its dimensions exceeding 4.80 meters in length. In practice, this car will represent the European configuration of the well-known Mazda EZ-60. The manufacturer estimates that prices for the European market will range between 45,000 and 50,000 euros.
Mazda CX-60: Diesel Efficiency and Cutting-Edge Technology
The Mazda CX-60 will receive an update package to consolidate its position among mid-size premium SUVs. Its diesel engines will be homologated for the use of HVO 100 biofuel, complying with Euro 6e-bis standards. The brand will improve acoustic insulation by installing high-quality soundproofing front windows. The infotainment will add the Amazon Alexa system along with seven years of free navigation updates. Additionally, customers will be able to choose the new Polymetal Grey color to customize the vehicle’s exterior.
Intelligent Safety and Optimized Thermal Comfort
The entire CX-60 and CX-80 range will adopt Driver Emergency Assist as a standard fundamental safety element. This device safely stops the car and unlocks the doors if it detects a driver emergency. The Japanese brand seeks to offer a calmer and more protected driving environment against any unforeseen events. This technological innovation reinforces the company’s commitment to the comprehensive protection of all its occupants. The system integrates perfectly with the driver assistance functions already present in the catalog.

Mazda CX-80: The Standard for Space and Sophistication
The Mazda CX-80 will evolve while maintaining its position as the benchmark model for space and manufacturing quality. The diesel versions will also be compatible with sustainable HVO 100 fuel to reduce its environmental footprint. The Homura and Homura Plus trims will elevate interior refinement with Nappa leather and bicolor-style steering wheels. Meanwhile, the Exclusive-Line trim will debut 20-inch wheels with a sophisticated Bright Silver finish. These aesthetic improvements are complemented by soft linings on the dashboard to increase the feeling of luxury.
Future Strategy and Mechanical Sustainability
2026 will mark a key turning point for the expansion of Mazda’s electric offering. The brand balances the development of new zero-emission platforms with the constant evolution of its traditional engines. Interventions in comfort and materials ensure that the SUV range competes at the highest technological level. Thanks to powertrain diversification, the Japanese manufacturer adapts to current sustainability requirements. Mazda demonstrates that elegance and efficiency can coexist in a modern and versatile product portfolio.
