The Chinese Ministry of Industry revealed the homologation of this vehicle under the name Lotus For Me. This model stands out as the first plug-in hybrid in the history of the brand founded by Colin Chapman. The system utilizes a 2.0-liter turbo engine that can either drive the wheels or charge a 70 kWh battery. Despite its performance focus, the overall weight rises significantly to reach 2,625 kilograms. The gasoline engine contributes 279 hp, which adds to the thrust of two powerful integrated electric motors. Insufficient sales of electric vehicles forced the company to diversify its current powertrain options. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that the Emira sports car will feature a hybrid version with a V6 engine in 2027.
