INTELLIGENT MOBILITY
Maserati MCPURA Becomes a High-Speed Patrol Car
The Italian supercar joins the Carabinieri fleet for urgent medical transport, blending extreme performance with public service.
For the first time in history, a Maserati enters official service with the Italian Carabinieri. The star is the MCPURA, a high-performance coupe now sporting the institutional livery designed by Maserati’s Centro Stile. Alongside it, an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio strengthens the fleet dedicated to special medical missions: urgent transport of organs and blood. Both vehicles were officially presented at the Carabinieri Headquarters in the presence of top officials and Stellantis executives, highlighting their operational role in critical missions requiring speed, reliability, and safety.
MCPURA: Maserati Technology for the Communit
The MCPURA showcases Maserati’s evolution in design and engineering. Powered by a 630 HP Nettuno V6 twin-turbo, it features pre-chamber technology derived from Formula 1 and a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis. Capable of exceeding 320 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds, the car will be used to deliver medical supplies to hospitals and transplant centers in record time. The coupe has been modified with a rear refrigerated compartment for medical containers and integrated light and sound systems while maintaining its aerodynamic efficiency.
Giulia Quadrifoglio: Decades of Tradition
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio continues a relationship with the Carabinieri dating back to World War II. The iconic Quadrifoglio Verde, with its 520 HP V6 twin-turbo, rear-wheel drive, and mechanical limited-slip differential, now wears the institutional blue livery. Produced in Stellantis’ Cassino plant, it features emergency signaling, advanced communication systems, and enhanced safety equipment, providing a blend of stability, performance, and operational reliability for extended missions.

A Longstanding Partnership with Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo’s collaboration with the Carabinieri began in the 1950s, starting with the 1900 M ‘Matta’ in 1951, followed by the 1900 sedan and the legendary ‘Gacelas’. Since then, the fleet has included iconic models like the Giulia, Alfetta, 75, 155, 156, and 159, culminating now in the current Giulia Quadrifoglio. The MCPURA represents a groundbreaking addition, demonstrating Stellantis’ commitment to supplying technologically advanced vehicles not only for public order but also for urgent healthcare missions.
Performance with Purpose
During the presentation, General Salvatore Luongo emphasized that these vehicles are not for show but for life-saving operations. “Every second counts when transporting organs,” he said. Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa highlighted that this initiative “combines industrial excellence with social responsibility,” showing that supercar technology can serve civil and healthcare sectors. In a time when supercars symbolize luxury, the MCPURA redefines performance as powerful yet purpose-driven, turning raw speed into a tool for the public good.
