Leaked images reveal the interior of the new Toyota Hilux: a complete modernization

The next-generation Toyota Hilux aims to revolutionize the midsize pickup segment with a high-tech interior and a bolder exterior design.

The launch of the new Toyota Hilux is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the year in the global automotive industry. Toyota will officially unveil the deeply redesigned pickup at the Thailand International Motor Show, featuring significant advancements in design, technology, and powertrain.

Redesigned interior and advanced technology

Recent leaks shared by the Kurdistan Automotive Blog reveal a modern and sophisticated cabin, clearly inspired by recent Toyota models such as the Land Cruiser Prado and RAV4. The new dashboard showcases clean, horizontal lines, a large multimedia screen positioned higher and centrally, and a space for a digital instrument cluster, confirming the leap in connectivity and technology. The two-tone finish indicates this is likely a high-end variant, while traditional Hilux features such as the dual glovebox and retractable cup holders remain.

The exterior design has also been previewed: the front grille is more imposing, featuring LED headlights with a refreshed signature, and integrated side steps behind the rear wheels make accessing the bed easier, following trends seen in competitors like the Ford Ranger.

While Toyota has not yet released official technical details, the next generation is expected to retain the 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, complemented by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This setup promises greater efficiency and smoother power delivery, though the number of available versions remains unknown.

With this redesign, Toyota aims to solidify the Hilux as a segment benchmark, combining durability, innovation, and comfort, while preparing for a new era in the competitive midsize pickup market. The strategy mirrors the approach applied to models like the Camry and RAV4, blending the brand’s historic toughness with modern, high-tech design.
