Early teasers of the 2027 Telluride reveal a boxy SUV adopting Kia’s latest design language. The vertical lights reinterpret the front end, while the functional grille preserves the essence of a combustion-engine vehicle. The overall design conveys strength and modernity, evoking the EV9 without losing its traditional SUV character.

Powerful Engines and Versatility

Under the hood, the 2027 Telluride will share powertrains with its sibling, the Hyundai Palisade. It will be available with a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 delivering 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, or with a 2.5-liter turbo hybrid setup with two electric motors, producing 329 hp and 339 lb-ft combined. Both options will offer rear- or all-wheel drive, blending power, efficiency, and three-row passenger capability.

More Space and Family Comfort

The new Telluride is expected to grow slightly compared to its predecessor, following the Palisade 2026’s lead, providing more room in the third row and enhanced comfort for all passengers. The Telluride has shown growing demand in the United States, with 115,504 units sold in 2024 and a 13% increase through September this year. Currently, the price gap between the Palisade and the Telluride is around $3,000, but the next-generation Kia SUV is expected to maintain a very attractive value proposition, offering luxury, space, and cutting-edge technology without straying far from the current model.
