The Honda Prelude 2026 is one of the few pure sports cars launched in recent years, a 2+2 coupe with a 184 hp hybrid powertrain. Its cabin stands out for excellent ergonomics, a well-balanced level of technology, and meticulous attention to detail, following the design cues of its sibling, the Civic. The dashboard features a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch central touchscreen, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the Bose audio system completes the multimedia experience.

Physical Controls and Driving Experience

Despite its modernity, the Prelude retains physical controls for key functions, such as climate control, conveniently located on a central panel. The center console integrates the S+ Shift button and paddles to simulate sporty gear changes, offering ‘virtual’ ratios designed to enhance the driving experience. Additionally, the storage compartments are well distributed, including large side pockets and spaces under the console for everyday items.

High-Quality Materials and Finishes

The perceived quality inside the cabin is outstanding. Soft-touch upper surfaces, well-finished rigid lower panels, and perforated leather sports seats stand out as key features. Honda even differentiates the front seats: the driver’s seat offers enhanced lateral support, while the passenger seat prioritizes comfort on longer journeys.

Limited Rear Space and Enveloping Driving Position

As expected in a 2+2, rear-seat space is limited, with approximately 81 cm of legroom and a low roof, suitable mainly for children or short trips. Up front, the low and enveloping driving position provides excellent visibility and easy access to all controls, ensuring a sporty experience without sacrificing comfort.

Versatile Trunk for a Sports Coupe

The Prelude’s trunk has a capacity of 264 liters, adequate for daily use. Thanks to its fastback-style opening and foldable rear seats, the space expands to 760 liters, allowing for bulky items such as a golf bag or bicycle, combining sportiness and practicality in one vehicle.
