Hispano Suiza Chooses Michelin as Exclusive Tire Supplier for the Carmen Sagrera Hypercar
The iconic Spanish manufacturer strengthens its historic partnership with Michelin to ensure maximum performance for the Carmen Sagrera, its 1,114 hp electric hypercar.
Hispano Suiza has announced that Michelin will be the exclusive tire supplier for the Carmen Sagrera, the hypercar celebrating the brand’s 120th anniversary. This electric model produces 1,114 hp and 1,160 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. To fully unleash its dynamic capabilities on both road and track, tires were required that offered strength, grip, and precision without compromising aesthetics.
During the Carmen Sagrera’s development, Hispano Suiza and Michelin worked closely together to create a custom version of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (front 265/30 ZR19, rear 305/30 ZR20). These tires not only withstand the hypercar’s extreme demands but also feature design elements inspired by Hispano Suiza’s iconic stork emblem and Antoni Gaudí’s mosaics, along with the exclusive Velvet Touch finish, providing a velvety texture on the sidewalls.
A historic partnership that endures
The collaboration between Hispano Suiza and Michelin is far from new. Since the 1920s and 1930s, the Spanish brand’s vehicles were equipped with Michelin tires, combining reliability and high performance for both customers and racing drivers. Today, all Hispano Suiza models continue to use Michelin tires, including those showcased at prestigious international events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Monterey Car Week.

Joint technological optimization
Thanks to access to Michelin’s Engineering & Services department, Hispano Suiza can continue optimizing vehicle performance in close collaboration with the French manufacturer’s technical experts. Sergio Martínez Campos, CEO of Hispano Suiza, stated: “The tire is a key component, especially in a hypercar with the power of the Carmen Sagrera. Thanks to Michelin, our clients can fully enjoy its dynamic capabilities with complete confidence.”
Innovation and tradition at the highest level
Lorenzo Giovanelli, Director of Original Equipment for Specialty Manufacturers at Michelin, emphasized: “The custom version of the MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4S for the Carmen Sagrera reflects Michelin’s pioneering spirit, bringing motorsport innovations to the most exclusive vehicles.” With this development, Hispano Suiza reaffirms its position as a top-tier electric hypercar manufacturer, combining technology, Spanish design, and world-class performance.
