Ford Bronco Raptor: 423 HP, Twin-Turbo V6, and Extreme Off-Road Preparation that Challenges the Land Cruiser for €71,200

By  |

This model combines a powerful twin-turbo V6 engine with robust off-road engineering, making it unstoppable on any terrain.

Ford presents the Bronco Raptor as the most powerful and best-prepared version of the entire range. The vehicle incorporates an improved chassis with greater suspension travel. It also features superior ground clearance and wider tracks. Torsional rigidity is 50% higher than a conventional Bronco. This off-roader maintains the philosophy of being unstoppable in the field.

The heart of the Raptor is a 3.0 V6 EcoBoost block with a double turbocharger. It generates 423 hp and a brutal maximum torque of 596 Nm. The improvements in the intake and exhaust systems help reach these figures. Consequently, the model reaches a maximum speed of 185 km/h.

Reinforced Chassis and Professional Suspension

Ford only offers a 10-speed automatic transmission for the Bronco Raptor. It uses a torque converter and paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The associated 4×4 system includes a specific transfer case and a stronger clutch. Additionally, it features a Baja mode that offers an “anti lag” system.

The specific preparation also includes larger drive shafts and improved Dana axles. It employs a suspension with Fox semi-active dampers. Their travel is 60% greater on the front axle (33 cm). On the rear axle, the travel is 40% greater (35.5 cm) compared to a conventional Bronco.

Furthermore, the width is almost 25 centimeters greater, and the ground clearance is 33.2 centimeters. Off-road enthusiasts will also value a wading capacity of 94 cm. It rides on BFGoodrich K02 tires over 17-inch “Beadlock” wheels. Finally, the price in the US market is $83,080, which is equivalent to just over 71,200 euros at the current exchange rate.
