EBRO Shakes Up the Market: The S700 PHEV SUV Drops to an Incredible Price

By  |

The Spanish plug-in hybrid SUV with a Zero Emissions label sees a massive price cut, becoming one of the most appealing options on the market.

EBRO continues to make bold moves in the highly competitive electrified SUV segment. The Spanish brand has once again adjusted its prices, and this time the spotlight is on the EBRO S700 PHEV, the plug-in hybrid version of its compact SUV with 279 hp and up to 90 km of electric range. Originally launched in May for €41,990, the model now appears on the brand’s official website with an astonishing cash price of €29,839.20 — a historic drop for a Zero Emissions vehicle.

A Zero-Emissions SUV Loaded with Luxury

EBRO hasn’t confirmed whether this new price already includes the €7,000 MOVES III incentive (note: in some Spanish regions, this aid has already run out), but even without it, the SUV remains cheaper than before — €36,839.20 to be exact. In any case, it’s advisable to check with your nearest dealership for eligibility. What’s undeniable is that the S700 PHEV offers an exceptional price-to-equipment ratio, featuring heated and ventilated power front seats, dual-zone climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, Full LED headlights, dual 12.3-inch screens, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus a power tailgate, among many other amenities.

With such equipment, rivals like the MG ZS, Ford Kuga, Peugeot 3008, Volkswagen Tiguan, or Hyundai Tucson will have a tough time competing. EBRO has achieved what few brands dare to attempt — delivering a truly premium, zero-emission SUV at the price of a mainstream compact.

Powerful, Efficient, and Technologically Advanced

The PHEV powertrain of the EBRO S700 combines a 1.5 TGDI DHE turbocharged petrol engine with 143 hp and two electric motors. One acts purely as a generator, while the other — with 204 hp — drives the wheels. As confirmed during our initial road test, when the battery runs low, the car can operate in series hybrid mode, with the petrol engine producing electricity, or in parallel hybrid mode during higher-demand situations such as highway driving or overtaking.

Over 1,100 km of Total Range

While its 0–100 km/h time of 8.2 seconds isn’t particularly aggressive given its 279 hp combined output, overall performance is smooth and responsive. The real highlight is its range and efficiency: with a 60-litre fuel tank and 90 km of electric autonomy, the total driving range exceeds 1,100 km. Additionally, its 18.3 kWh net battery supports fast charging at 40 kW, allowing it to charge from 30% to 80% in just 19 minutes — perfect for quick top-ups on the go.

The 500-litre boot, complete with a double floor, matches that of the petrol versions, proving that EBRO has successfully integrated plug-in technology without compromising practicality. Altogether, the S700 PHEV stands out as one of the most well-balanced and attractive electrified SUVs on the Spanish market today.
