EBRO s800 2026: the 7-seat SUV that stands out with its price, 147 hp engine and the things no one tells you
The reborn Spanish brand returns with a large, affordable SUV designed for family travel – but it isn’t flawless.

The good and the not-so-good of the new EBRO s800
In a market where SUVs tend to look and feel the same, the EBRO s800 arrives with a very clear mission: maximum space, a competitive price, and a reliable 147 hp petrol engine. Available from €30,990 with discounts, it positions itself as a highly appealing option for buyers who need a spacious vehicle without stretching their budget. And after analysing it in depth, with the same thoroughness one would apply to a Formula 1 machine, the final verdict is more nuanced than it appears.
The exterior design is one of its strongest assets. This is a 4.73-metre SUV, with well-balanced proportions, LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, and four genuine exhaust outlets, a rare sight these days. Inside, the brand –revived with the backing of Chinese giant Chery– has achieved a solid result: good perceived quality, generous equipment and, above all, seven seats as standard, something very uncommon at this price point.
When it comes to space, the EBRO s800 plays in another league. Cargo capacity is impressive: 119 litres with all 7 seats in use, 889 litres with 5, and up to 1,930 litres with 2, all measured to the roof. Where opinions may differ is under the bonnet: the 1.6 TGDI petrol engine with 147 hp, paired with front-wheel drive and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, offers decent performance with a top speed of 180 km/h, although the 0–100 km/h figure hasn’t been disclosed yet. Official fuel consumption is 7.8 l/100 km, reasonable for its size.
A more advanced option is also available: a 279 hp plug-in hybrid, capable of delivering up to 90 km of electric-only range and qualifying for Spain’s coveted DGT ZERO emissions label – a major benefit for city use. However, it comes at a higher price, so buyers must consider whether the extra investment will truly pay off.
Ultimately, pricing remains its strongest weapon: €38,990 before discounts for the petrol version, but €30,990 with current incentives and financing. And that’s where the EBRO s800 becomes a serious contender: real seven-seat usability, comprehensive equipment and a price closer to that of a well-equipped compact car. Perfect? No. Interesting? Absolutely.
