Chevrolet Spark EUV 2025: The New Electric SUV That’s Taking Over Argentina

By  |

Chevrolet’s latest arrival has already become the best-selling electric car in Argentina, marking a new era for urban mobility in the country.

Argentina’s electric vehicle market continues to gain traction, and the biggest surprise of 2025 comes from the Chevrolet Spark EUV – a model that, in just two months, has become the best-selling electric car in the country. According to data released by the Association of Argentine Car Dealers (Acara), the Spark EUV led September’s registrations with 104 units, in a still modest market that totaled 159 BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles).

A new chapter in Argentina’s electric revolution

Acara, which has managed the nation’s automotive statistics for nearly three decades, surprised the industry this year by publishing its first-ever report dedicated exclusively to fully electric vehicles. This move reflects the growing interest from both manufacturers and consumers in achieving a genuine energy transition. Within this evolving landscape, the Chevrolet Spark EUV stands out as a true turning point.

The Spark EUV represents a new generation of EVs, outperforming early pioneers such as the Coradir Tito and Renault Kwid E-Tech, which led the market in 2023 and 2024 respectively. With new competitors like the BYD Dolphin Mini and Volvo EX30 entering the scene, the segment is becoming increasingly competitive – and Chevrolet has responded with a car that’s more advanced, efficient, and tailored to modern drivers.

Beneath its compact urban design, the Spark EUV is actually a Baojun Yep Plus from China, adapted by Chevrolet for Latin American markets. It delivers 102 horsepower, offers a claimed range of 360 kilometers (224 miles), and carries a list price of 40,566,900 Argentine pesos. Altogether, it strikes an ideal balance between performance, affordability, and technology, positioning itself as a key player in Argentina’s emerging EV scene.

At InsideEVs, the Spark EUV has already entered the test garage. Over the next week, the team will drive it across various urban and suburban routes to evaluate its real-world efficiency, battery performance, and driving feel. The full review will be published next week, but early impressions suggest that the Chevrolet Spark EUV 2025 hasn’t just arrived to sell – it’s here to rewrite the rules of electric mobility in Argentina.
