Chevrolet launches the Captiva PHEV 2026 with Genius AI assistant
Chevrolet’s first plug-in hybrid SUV in South America features a virtual assistant that transforms the buying and ownership experience.

Chevrolet has unveiled the Captiva PHEV 2026, its first plug-in hybrid SUV in Argentina and South America, combining long range, modern design, and family comfort. What truly sets it apart, however, is the Genius AI assistant, integrated into Chevrolet’s digital ecosystem and designed to guide users through every stage of interacting with the vehicle.
Genius: an assistant that revolutionizes the customer experience
The Genius assistant provides personalized advice, answers technical questions, and simplifies complex electromobility concepts. During the purchasing process, it serves as a digital guide, explaining the vehicle’s features, how the hybrid system works, and helping customers choose the best option based on their needs. With its consultative sales capabilities, Genius becomes a crucial tool for those seeking clear and reliable information before making a decision.
Integrated technology and long range
The Captiva PHEV 2026 combines a 1.5L gasoline engine with a 20.5 kWh battery, offering over 1,000 km of range and the ability to charge at home or at fast-charging stations. Available in four colors and with a battery warranty of up to eight years, the SUV stands out not only for its powertrain technology but also for its digital ecosystem, where Genius is fully integrated to enhance the user experience in a tangible way.
Specialized dealership network
In addition to the vehicle launch, Chevrolet introduced a differentiated sales system for electrified models. The Captiva PHEV will be available across the entire official dealership network, equipped with dedicated spaces and staff trained in electromobility and hybrid technology. Currently, only 30% of dealerships offer this specialized service, but Chevrolet has confirmed that the full network will be equipped by the end of the year.
With the Captiva PHEV 2026 and the Genius assistant, Chevrolet not only introduces an advanced SUV but also reinvents the relationship with the customer, turning artificial intelligence from a promise into a practical tool and strengthening its commitment to sustainable, connected, and personalized mobility.
