The new Skoda 1000 MBX Concept preserves the boxy silhouette of the original while adding distinctive touches such as rear-hinged doors inspired by the Mazda RX-8 and four sliding doors that provide full cabin access. Inside, designer David Stingl has created an elegant, retro-futuristic interior featuring a glass-covered oval dashboard and cinema-style fold-up seats. The exterior, led by Antti Savio, was completed in just four weeks as part of Skoda’s “Icons Get a Makeover” program, which previously reimagined the legendary 110 R coupé.

Despite its stunning looks and nostalgic charm, this 1000 MBX will never reach production.
