2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition: Rare Supercar Up for Auction with No Reserve
The 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition, one of 343 units built to celebrate Le Mans 1966, will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Fall 2025 with all original factory details intact.

A Historic GT Celebrating Le Mans 1966
Ford’s Heritage Collection houses some of the brand’s rarest vehicles, from Bronco prototypes to the world’s only V10 Mustang. For the first time, a 2006 GT Heritage Edition is being offered to the public. This car, the third unit built out of 343, commemorates Ford’s legendary 1-2-3 finish at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans and features the hand-applied Gulf livery, including door racing numbers.
Engine and Performance: Pure Thrill
Under the hood, this GT carries the 5.4-liter supercharged V8 common to Ford GTs of the era, producing 550 hp and 678 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The interior, finished in black leather with subtle retro details, combines elegance and sportiness, delivering an authentic experience for true enthusiasts.
Vehicle History and Condition
This Heritage Edition GT was primarily used for promotional and media events, logging only 8,345 miles (13,430 km). While it has minor rear-end and suspension damage, both were professionally repaired to Ford’s quality standards, making it one of the best-preserved and least-driven examples of its series.
Auction Details and Authenticity
The car will be presented at Barrett-Jackson Fall 2025 in Scottsdale, Arizona, with no reserve price, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a build book documenting the car’s complete production. Proceeds will support Ford’s Heritage Collection, which includes over 500 vehicles that require regular maintenance and preservation.
Expected Price and Rarity
Although exact figures are uncertain, previous Heritage Editions have sold between $680,000 and $1.2 million (€580,575 – €1,025,000), suggesting this example could approach the million-dollar mark. For collectors and supercar enthusiasts, this GT represents a unique opportunity to own a piece of Ford automotive history.
