Skoda Fabia 130: the Fastest and Most Powerful Fabia Ever

By  |

With 176 hp and a top speed of 228 km/h, the new Fabia 130 becomes the sportiest version in the history of the Czech supermini.

The most powerful Skoda Fabia ever built has arrived. Under the name Fabia 130, the Czech manufacturer introduces a special edition powered by a 176 hp engine, accompanied by a series of technical and design upgrades that transform it into a true hot hatch within the small car segment. Orders will open in December, with first deliveries scheduled for 2026, though official pricing has yet to be confirmed.

A 1.5 TSI pushed to its limits

At the heart of the Fabia 130 lies the well-known 1.5 TSI Evo2, boosted from 150 to 176 hp thanks to internal modifications carried out by Skoda’s engineers. It is paired with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission, revised with higher shift points and double downshifts in Sport mode. The result is a supermini capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 228 km/h numbers never before seen in the model’s history.

Beyond raw power, the Fabia 130 impresses in acceleration tests: 60 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and 80 to 120 km/h in 4.8 seconds, figures closer to compact sports cars than to traditional small hatchbacks. To match these capabilities, Skoda equips the car with a 15 mm lowered sport suspension, exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels, and a sharper steering setup. The ESC Sport mode even allows greater wheel slip, giving the car a freer, more dynamic character under spirited driving.

Design with attitude

Available in four colors (white, red, blue, and black), the new Fabia 130 stands out with a more aggressive look: contrasting black roof and pillars, gloss-black details on the spoiler, diffuser, and rear wing, plus “130” badges on the sides and tailgate. These touches emphasize the sporty DNA of the model, positioning it as the flagship of the Fabia lineup.

Inside, the cabin reflects the same spirit: electric sport seats, a sport steering wheel, metallic pedals, and black aluminum trim. Technology is also front and center, with a 10-inch digital cockpit and a 9-inch infotainment display, blending performance-oriented style with modern connectivity. Altogether, the Fabia 130 elevates the model to new heights, standing out as one of the most exciting and accessible entries in the small hot hatch segment.
