Jeep Compass 2026: The New Plug-in Hybrid Generation with 1,000 km of Range
Jeep launches its updated compact SUV in Europe, manufactured at the Italian Melfi plant. This model debuts the STLA Medium platform to boost its efficiency and adventurous capabilities.
Jeep begins a decisive phase in its electric strategy for the European market. The American firm presents the new generation of the Compass on the STLA Medium platform. This vehicle leaves the assembly lines of the Italian factory in Melfi. Stellantis positions this industrial center as a fundamental pillar for its electrified models. Drivers now have versatile and modern technology at their disposal.
Mechanical Efficiency and Superior Range
The powertrain combines a 1.6 turbo gasoline engine with a powerful electric motor. Both units generate a total output of 225 hp and a torque of 35.5 kgm. A 17.9 kWh battery powers the system to offer great daily efficiency. The combined range reaches approximately 983 kilometers with a single charge and tank. Additionally, the user can travel 92 kilometers without emitting polluting gases.
The brand keeps its adventurous DNA intact despite the strong electrification. The vehicle features a ground clearance of 200 millimeters for difficult terrains. Likewise, the Selec-Terrain system comes as standard on all versions. Characteristic angles allow tackling off-road obstacles with total safety. Finally, the wading capacity stands out against other competitors in the segment.

Interior Space and Commercial Details
The SUV grows to 4.55 meters in total length in this generation. These new dimensions significantly improve roominess for all passengers. Rear occupants enjoy superior legroom during trips. On the other hand, the trunk offers a cargo capacity of 550 liters. The cabin integrates various storage compartments to increase daily practicality.
The fast-charging process requires less than three hours of connection. Similarly, the system needs seven hours in a conventional domestic plug. The Jeep Compass PHEV is already available at European dealerships. The range starts from an initial price set at 45,900 euros. Finally, the brand reinforces its commitment to sustainable and adventurous mobility.
