Hyundai Staria 2026: The Futuristic Minivan Refreshes with More Tech and Ride Comfort

Hyundai has introduced a mid-cycle update for the Staria, its innovative minivan launched in 2021. Although the exterior design keeps its avant-garde essence, the brand has implemented deep improvements in the cabin and chassis setup.

The 2026 Hyundai Staria is already available for order in South Korea with a starting price of approximately $22,000. However, the brand plans a global rollout of this update in the coming months. Therefore, the changes focus on refining details that ensure greater daily usability without altering its iconic spacecraft-inspired silhouette.

Subtle but Effective Aesthetic Changes

At first glance, the Staria looks identical to the previous model. Nevertheless, a closer look reveals an uninterrupted front LED bar with logos engraved on the sides. Additionally, Hyundai has better integrated the lower headlights and redesigned the air intake pattern.

On the other hand, the high-end Lounge trim receives a tweaked grille with chrome accents. Moreover, the color palette expands with new options such as Classy Blue Pearl and Galaxy Maroon Pearl, the latter being exclusive to higher trims.

A Smarter and More Physical Interior

The cabin experiences the most notable technological growth. First, both the instrument panel and the central screen increase from 10.25 to 12.3 inches. This system now supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, ensuring the vehicle stays current remotely.

Regarding ergonomics, Hyundai has listened to its customers. Consequently, the center console brings back physical controls to replace the previous touch-sensitive buttons. Furthermore, the dashboard features redesigned air vents and a new storage tray to improve interior practicality.

Proven Mechanics and Chassis Enhancements

Under the hood, Hyundai maintains the current powertrain lineup. Customers can choose between the 3.5-liter V6 engine with 237 hp or the efficient self-charging hybrid version with 242 hp. However, the brand continues to develop a fully electric variant that will arrive soon.

Finally, engineers have adjusted the suspension and added new bushings to better filter road irregularities. As a result, the 2026 Staria offers a smoother and more refined ride. Thus, Hyundai strengthens its position in a segment where interior comfort is the determining factor for purchase.
