DS Nº8 2025: The Premium Electric That Redefines French Luxury
Up to 750 km WLTP range, unique design, and an 8-year warranty: meet DS’s flagship electric car aiming to reshape the premium EV segment.

A new benchmark in design, comfort, and sustainable technology
The brand-new DS Nº8 is finally here, and it’s poised to make a lasting impact on the premium electric vehicle market. Featuring an evolved fastback SUV silhouette, a cabin rivaling executive sedans, and an all-electric powertrain with up to 350 hp and all-wheel drive, the Nº8 sets new standards: 750 km of certified WLTP range, high-end materials, uncompromising comfort, and a generous 8-year warranty. With a starting price of €57,000, it positions itself as a serious contender to its German and Scandinavian rivals.
Fastback styling, French elegance, and class-leading aerodynamics
Measuring 4.82 meters long, the DS Nº8 breaks away from conventional SUV design with a bold, sleek, and aerodynamic fastback profile. At the front, the car showcases the spectacular V-shaped DS LIGHTBLADE signature lighting, a luminous grille (DS LUMINASCREEN) framing the DS emblem, and LED headlights with the brand’s signature Clous de Paris guilloché detailing. Thanks to advanced aerodynamic work—including forged aero wheels and active air flaps—it achieves a record-low drag coefficient of 0.24, adding 60 km of extra range. At the rear, vertical lighting inspired by the DS AERO SPORT LOUNGE offers unmistakable visibility from over 100 meters away.
Lounge-like interior: tech, craftsmanship, and total comfort
Inside, the DS Nº8 delivers a sophisticated and serene atmosphere, blending advanced technology with luxury materials like polished aluminum. Upon opening the doors, a 10.25-inch digital cluster greets the driver with a glowing DS logo. The newly designed X-shaped steering wheel redefines ergonomics, while a 16-inch customizable touchscreen and jewel-like crystal controls on a floating console add a high-end touch. Rear passengers enjoy plush seating with reclining backrests, heated and ventilated seats, and 84 cm of headroom, offering 40/20/40 modularity. A generous 620-litre boot with electric access and deep 1.16-meter loading length completes the executive experience.
Electric powertrains and ultra-fast charging with up to 750 km range
The DS Nº8 offers three fully electric versions: 230 hp, 245 hp, and 350 hp, the latter with dual motors and AWD. The 245 hp Long Range version, equipped with a 97.2 kWh battery, achieves a certified WLTP range of 750 km, thanks to an ultra-low consumption of 12.9 kWh/100 km. Performance remains sharp across the board: the AWD model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, while FWD versions stay below 8 seconds. Fast charging capability allows a 20–80% top-up in just 27 minutes, or 200 km in only 10 minutes, with onboard 11 kW AC charging (and 22 kW optional coming soon).
Cutting-edge safety and 8 years of peace of mind
Peace of mind in the DS Nº8 comes via top-tier driver assistance and safety systems. These include the DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION, which uses a camera to pre-emptively adjust damping, the DS EXTENDED HEAD-UP DISPLAY, and the DS NIGHT VISION system capable of detecting people or animals up to 300 meters away. Matrix LED DS PIXELVISION headlights offer up to 400 meters of beam range without dazzling others. The semi-autonomous DS DRIVE ASSIST 2.0 enables advanced lane changes between 70–140 km/h and works with predictive cruise control, blind spot detection, and driver attention alert systems.
The DS Nº8 is covered by DS SERENITY, an extended 8-year or 160,000 km warranty (whichever comes first), which also applies to the battery. This reflects the brand’s long-term commitment and includes full coverage of major components like the electric motor, charger, transmission, infotainment, and more—offering one of the most complete warranty packages in its class.
