Dacia Duster 2026 ECO-G: the bifuel SUV that promises 1,380 km of range from €19,990
The Duster makes a strong statement in the SUV segment with a new bifuel LPG engine, Eco label and record-breaking range without relying on electrification.

The Dacia Duster 2026 adds the new ECO-G 120 bifuel engine (petrol and LPG) to its range, a key upgrade that strengthens its position as one of the most rational and efficient SUVs on the European market. After debuting in the Dacia Sandero and Jogger 2026, this 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder unit delivers 120 hp, replacing the previous 100 hp ECO-G. The result is a more capable option in terms of performance, with minimal running costs and the highly valued Eco label.
An SUV that puts all its direct rivals under pressure

With this new version, the Duster shakes up established competitors such as the Citroën C3 Aircross, Opel Frontera, MG ZS, Hyundai KONA, Kia Niro, Peugeot 2008 or SEAT Arona. The key lies in a smart approach: up to 30% lower fuel consumption compared to an equivalent petrol engine, without plugs or complex hybrid systems. In times of energy transition, Dacia proves that efficiency can also be simple and affordable.
One of the standout arguments of the Duster ECO-G 120 2026 is its range of up to 1,380 km, made possible by its two independent fuel tanks. All this without electrification and by taking advantage of LPG, a fuel that is easy to find, quick to refuel and costs less than €1 per litre. Officially, it records 6 l/100 km on petrol and 7.5 l/100 km on LPG, with the added benefit of switching fuels at the touch of a button.
In dynamic terms, this engine is initially paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, allowing the SUV to reach a top speed of 180 km/h. Later on, a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is expected to join the range, broadening its appeal. The Duster therefore maintains a very balanced formula between performance, mechanical simplicity and low ownership costs–a philosophy reminiscent of modern Formula 1: maximum efficiency with minimal waste.
The ECO-G 120 is available in Essential, Expression, Extreme and Journey trims, all offering generous standard equipment: air conditioning, Eco mode, electric windows and mirrors, light and parking sensors, roof bars, Media Control infotainment and a steering wheel adjustable for height and reach. In terms of safety, it includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, driver fatigue alert and hill start assist. All this comes at highly competitive prices: from €19,990, rising to €22,090, €23,590 and €23,640, figures that firmly establish the Dacia Duster 2026 ECO-G as one of the smartest SUV choices on today’s market.
